My journey 7-8 years ago, when I used to live in Singapore was around AI - think something like the ChatGPT of that time.

I could still be on that journey, and not on my Behavioral Science Journey to be fair, but I guess people and behavior interested me more thereafter. (or AI was really hard to crack back then)

For the last months, I have been lucky to combine both Behavioral Science and AI - working with a great startup called rapide.ly and the founders Danielle (Dee) Libine, Laurence Zaied

Today we went through the trends report from Amy Webb (btw Amy, I loved your presentation) and it reminded me of what I hoped AI would be able to do so many years ago when we were using IBM Watson and other NLP tools for travel. ( Remember those days Gary Theis ? - you almost knocked down the IBM robot at the opening of the Watson Center 😁)

One of the things we looked at with AI, is that it may bring a divide between those who are literate in assisted AI and those who are not.

The Team at Rapide.ly quickly said after the presentation from Amy:

"How can we enable and help those who are not literate in assisted AI, and help bring them along the journey?"

That kind of thinking along with so many other things I admire about the founders is why I think the team has so much success ahead of itself.

Now, back to the past....If you want to read an excerpt from the article Magnus Jern - who is on a great mission himself, helping change behavior to reduce human impact on the planet with his company TAPP Water you can read an excerpt below.

"I think Al is here to enhance our jobs, it's not really here to replace a lot of the things, so in customer services it's there to kind of take away that time that's not productive from an agent, to focus on the more complex kind of issues that they need to deal with on a daily basis, so it's just going to make everybody more productive in that way".

Mind you, this was written 7-8 years ago... what do you think?
