How can we use a Behavioral Systems Map + Behavior + Journey Mapping to deliver better outcomes?

The Systems Map image is made by Joanna Hale over at UCL

Behavioral Systems Mapping:
When problems are complex we need to look at the system and not just the individuals.

1) I don't really understand the problem and have a hard time thinking about the solution
2) Different stakeholders may want to do different things
3) The problem tends to connect to other problems and the environment
4) The problem may be unstable over time
5) I want to work on sustained change and not a one-off thing

Where does a Behavior Change Framework fit in?

The Behavior Change Wheel (the framework I use and cover in my trainings and courses)

1) It helps us define the target behavior (s)
2) It helps us define the actors
3)It helps us find the influences
4) It helps us find the interventions / solution

Together they work in harmony to find the relationships between the actors, the behaviors, the influences, (and even the interventions) as well as the feedback loops

Where does Journey Mapping come in?

The Journey helps us zoom in and pick target areas of the system to then go into more detail and represent a more linear path.

The Journey is also going to allow us to know exactly in which steps our influences are addressed, which ones we are addressing, and what solutions we have proposed.

Together this powerful trio allows us to change behavior and move from only the individual to the system in a systematic and sequenced way.

P.S - the image is representative (that's not my journey or my system map), and the process and activities may be broken down differently, depending on what I am trying to achieve, but the trio remains the same.
